I knew it was a little early to call it 15 pounds. It jumped back up a couple pounds since the weekend, which was pretty much expected, just a little disappointing. So today I did a little test before spinning. I weighed myself before, holding my water bottle, and weighed myself after with the empty bottle. It turned out that I sweat out two pounds in the 50 minute session!?!
I suppose it makes sense, since most of what I've been reading tells you to drink a litre of water every hour. Two pounds is just under a litre. But it's still pretty crazy how much of it must actually evaporate. If you figure there's maybe a a quarter litre on my towel... but then again there was a lot still in my clothes. It's still pretty crazy.
I've nearly burnt out. I'm starting to get a little tired, which I think mostly has to do with the weight loss, and the fact that I'm never eating enough to sustain my working out... even on my off days.
This morning I was actually starting to think about giving up and wanting the end to come after spinning for 15 minutes. I got over it, but still... that's not a good sign. I'm very glad my vacation is coming up next week. I promised myself the next time I'm in the Mediterranean I'd do some snorkelling. If I'm not swimming, at least I can get a little more comfortable in the water again. I used to be very comfortable in the water, but it feels like it's been such a long time. This trip is coming at the perfect time. Things have been pretty crazy lately.
Last night I started buying stuff for the trip. It's coming so soon. I still need to book a car (hoping there are some left, damn the World Cup) and change my return ticket to give me a couple extra days in Greece. But everything else is more or less set. I don't know what I'm going to use to pack though, my small backpack is a little small (I mean I filled it on a weekend trip), but my big one is a little too backpack-y. I'm considering a suitcase, since I'll be in a car most of the time, or in an actual hotel. Tough call. I hate lugging those things around, especially since I usually like to walk a lot.
Today on the way home I'm going to pick up a decent scale, and I'll spend more time logging my weight too. I might as well keep on top of these patterns that are developing, instead of just logging general changes. Fitday seems to do a pretty good job at calculating trends and average weights on its own, so I might as well use it.
Speaking of Fitday, I made my
food and workout log public. There's not anything super interesting in there, and pretty much everything major is being blogged about here. But now that I've found some interesting solutions to eating (still mostly fast food), it might be somewhat interesting for other people. Namely Kim, who said she'd try logging her intake for a week after I bugged the hell out of her. Kim, if you're reading this you know I'm going to hold you to it...
