what am I trying to do here?

This is just a way to keep friends updated and hopefully amused. I'm going to be documenting whatever's important to me. At this time I'm concentrating on making this the year of geo. I'm sick of wasting so much bloody money on cars as a hobby, so this year I'm going to be doing stuff for me.
I've just joined a gym in an effort to increase my abilities
bike riding,
rock climbing,
skiing... I dunno, whatever else I do that seems cool. I can't see myself making the gym the be all and end all of being healthier. I know it can be a fun thing to do for some people, but I don't see that happening for me. I'm also starting to care a little bit about all the shit I've been eating. It's been really bad for the past thirteen years, it's about time to put a little effort into fixing that.
My goal is to build up a little stamina, and get myself back into a small frame. I don't want to be muscular or big at all. I want to be like the cars I like. Smaller, faster and more nimble. The less you have to carry around the less effort that you need to change directions. It'll also help my flat feet if they're not carrying around as much. It's less wear and tear on everything.
Hopefully by keeping this updated I'll have a record of my progress, as well if I start slipping or neglecting to post I hope whoever visits can call me on it. I might need a little encouragement when the excitement is wearing off.
It's not all work and garbage though. I'm really enjoying the city and I've been reading a lot of local blogs and sites. I'm into transit and public space issues, so I'll be posting some of the cooler links as well. I'll still post some (Apple) geekery and car-related stuff too, as well as any interesting stuff I'm doing in real life. Much in the same way I was originally planning on doing with
hotmayo, which turned out to be far too top heavy to actually update.
Now it's working. Too bad this template doesn't allow for the type entry thingie verification. Ughness. I doubt I'm going to get too much spam traffic anyway.
