a flickr of interestingness

I'm really enjoying starting to use
my flickr account now. I'm going to dust off my camera and take some pics this weekend to get back into it. Right now I'm really feeling infrared photography and nudes. It was
ioerror's San Francisco infrared photos that got me excited again. I love infrared photography the same way I love long exposure night shots. It brings out something that exists, only just out of reach of our reality. I appreciate these nudes because they're not of perfect ideal models. They are a little
Suicide Girls-ish. They have imperfections, but they don't try and hide them.
I want to take pictures like that. Pictures of subjects that might not have supermodel bodies, might not be slim, might not be perfect. I want to take pictures of them as if they are. Not to focus on their imperfections
or ignore them completely. Just accept them as being a part of the subject in all it's beauty.
I want it to be real. As much as I appreciate Dove's
campaign, I'd rather not have it being used to sell cellulite cream.
I'm talking too much. Yes, I'm back on caffeine.
